This one just in from Adam at Stanridge Speed (click for supersized image)!
“Back when Dan Chabanov dominated RHC 12 in Brooklyn the mechanics at King Kog checked the frame upon arrival with a magnet as they were in disbelieve it was steel and not aluminum.
Evan and Josh will race two identical HSP’s hand painted by Death Spray of London, England on Saturday in Brooklyn. We’ve partnered with Mavic, Seagull Bags and Endo Customs.
Logistically getting the frames to London and back proved to be difficult but well worth it. Nothing in life is easy.
Evan Murphy winner of Milan ’12 will be on SRSxDSC HSP 1
Josh Direen Columbus Local will be on SRSxDSC HSP 2
Evan’s HSP is the carry over from Milan wearing new regalia.
The second HSP has never been raced but was crafted with our special fixed crit geometry, a geometry not currently available on any production bicycle.
Dan Chabanov retired from the event and will not race.
More RHC photos to follow in the days leading to the race.
I want to thank you for your support of Stanridge. Everyone reading this email has supported the brand since day one.
I’m wearing a Cyclehawk cap as Squid (Kevin) in Bedstuy put me in touch with Dan Chabanov. I owe him a big one. He started our crazy obsession with David Trimble’s race, which I consider to be the best, most difficult and most organized fixed crit series in the world.
I am always seeking highly talented riders with proven results.
