Kid Scientifik is a Helsinki-based cyclist with a rather straightforward approach to his bicycles. Driven by passion, dedication and an uncompromsing strive for perfection, his builds are often assembled around hand built custom frames. The building blocks of each build are without exception sourced with utmost care, never falling for second-rate in quality or style. To achieve the desired end result, Kid tends to favor customization of stock parts in the process. The latest addition to his fleet is no exception.

For this setup, Kid was aiming for a composition for fast city commuting, which is reflected in both the frame and respective selection of parts. Featuring the best all-American parts — and with the only exceptions in the rim, tyre and seat areas, we feel it truly represents just that. Hence the infamous Flag Hatchet.

The build is made around a custom-made Supernaut frame, made-to-measure by Tonic Fabrication, with parts customized and assembled at Shock Therapy, Helsinki. The wheels are based around Phil hubs, featuring custom-cut and rethreaded Phil spokes with reversed hidden nipples embedded into Campagnolo Omega rims. The drivetrain features a highly-desirable and rare 44rn chainring, coupled with street-proof SRAM Omniums. The tube parts, as well as the forks are carbon, provided to this build by Enve/Edge.
